Whereas a large number of people affiliated with and belonging to Hindu Culture and Diu Vanza Darji Heritage are settling in the United Kingdom as permanent residents, it has been felt that a non-profit and non-political Samaj be formed as to provide a forum for meeting, sharing and fostering their cultural advancement and continuance of their original identity while facilitating their growth in the broad framework of British Society. With this purpose, be it resolved therefore:

  1. The name of the Samaj shall be DIU VANZA DARJI SAMAJ UK.
  2. Objectives:
    • 2.1. To bring together members interested in preserving and promoting Hindu Culture and Diu Vanza Darji Heritage.
    • 2.2.  To promote health and sports activities and Samaj recreation.
    • 2.3.  To raise funds and receive contributions where appropriate to finance the activities (social activities, cultural activities, sports activities) and events.
    • 2.4.  To publicise and promote the activities undertaken by the Samaj.
    • 2.5.  To organise meetings and events.
    • 2.6.  To form subcommittees as and when deemed necessary to meet the objectives of the Samaj.
    • 2.7.  To ensure the cultural interests within the Samaj are promoted, protected and catered for.
    • 2.8.  To advise the members of the Samaj on various rituals, for instance, engagements, marriages, religious and cultural festive activities, deaths, funerals, etc.
    • 2.9. To compile and maintain a directory of all Diu Vanza Darji Samaj UK members in the UK.

Atendendo e considerando que um grande número de pessoas filiadas e pertencentes à cultura Hindu e aos descendentes de Diu Vanza Darji se está a estabelecer no Reino Unido como residentes permanentes, sentiu-se a necessidade de criar uma Organização da Comunidade sem fins lucrativos e sem visões políticas para proporcionar um fórum de encontro, partilha e promoção do avanço cultural e a continuação da sua identidade original facilitando o seu crescimento no quadro geral da Sociedade Britânica. Com esta finalidade, foi determinado o seguinte:

  1. A denominação da Comunidade será DIU VANZA DARJI SAMAJ UK.
  2. Os seu objectivos:
    • 2.1. Reunir todos os membros da Comunidade, interessados na preservação e promoção da cultura Hindu e da herança cultural de Diu Vanza Darji.
    • 2.2.  Promover a saúde e actividades religiosas,culturais, desportivas, sociais e recreativas.
    • 2.3.  Angariação de fundos e receber contribuições para financiar as actividades e os eventos.
    • 2.4.  Promover e divulgar as actividades desenvolvidas pelo Samaj.
    • 2.5.  Organizar reuniões e eventos, sempre que for possível.
    • 2.6. Nomear subcomissões quando necessárias para a realização dos objectivos do Samaj.
    • 2.7. Garantir que os interesses culturais dentro do Samaj sejam promovidos, protegidos e salvaguardados.
    • 2.8. Aconselhar os membros do Samaj sobre vários rituais, por exemplo, noivados, casamentos, actividades festivas religiosas e culturais, mortes, funerais,etc.
    • 2.9. Compilar e manter um directório de todos os membros de Diu Vanza Darji Samaj UK no Reino Unido.
